Late arrivals & Uncollected child policy and procedure
Wherever possible, please inform the nursery if your child is due to be absent for a holiday, an appointment or if your child will not be attending their session due to illness.
Joeys reserves the right for full payment during any absences unless you have followed our fees policy in regards to holidays.
If you have not notified us that your child will be absent we will phone to check you are not just running late.
All absences are recorded and monitored in the interest of your child's development and safeguarding.
If a child is not collected at the agreed booking time the following procedures will take place-
- After 15 minutes late the parents/carer will be telephoned; if there is no reply other contacts on the personal records will be called to check to see if anyone is on their way.
- This procedure will continue until someone responsible is contacted. If still no reply or communication after an hour, other contacts will be tried, such as the parent/carers work if known.
- If at the end of opening hours no one has been reached and we have had no contact from the family, half an hour will be allowed then Children’s Services Social Care out of hours team will be contacted to collect the child
